About Delaware Valley Hospital

Nationally Ranked Among the Best in Patient Satisfaction

Delaware Valley Hospital is a 25 bed critical access hospital located in Walton, NY. We offer a wide range of the diagnostic and treatment services, as well as, acute care. Specialized departments within the hospital include a 24-hour Emergency Department, the Medical/Surgical patient wing, with cardiac monitoring beds, and an Addiction Treatment Program. Family Health Centers in Walton, Downsville and Roscoe complement these services with first rate primary and preventive care close to home. Our staff of board certified, highly qualified physicians and allied health professionals have chosen to bring their skills to a rural area, often from major metropolitan facilities. While their training, expertise and dedication to providing high quality healthcare is no different than that of providers in more urban areas, they have opted to practice in a smaller area where they can take the time to get to know their patients better and respond to their concerns.

Best Practice Hospital” Pneumonia and Cardiac Care
In 2006, the Island Peer Review Organization (IPRO) which is an oversight agency for Medicare and Medicaid Services recognized Delaware Valley’s excellent care by naming us a best practice hospital and asking us to serve as mentors in several national phone conferences.

Nationally Ranked Among the Best in Patient Satisfaction
DVH provides patient-focused care which is friendly and family-oriented. Patients, family and visitors are treated with dignity and compassion. In fact, Press Ganey, a national patient satisfaction survey company, with over 1200 hospital clients, consistently ranks us in the top percentiles nationally for overall inpatient and ER patient satisfaction.

A Major Medical Center Stands Behind Us
Through our affiliation with United Health Services, we have access to over 450 specialists, who work closely with our physicians to care for you when you or a family member need a higher level of care. Many are nationally renowned in their field of specialization. Here at Delaware Valley, we have the technology necessary for many common diagnostic and treatment procedures, yet if more advanced services are needed we can easily refer you to United Health Services Hospitals. Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center is a highly respected regional center for heart and cancer care, neurosurgery, diabetes treatment, newborn intensive care, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and other advanced services.

Together, we are working to ensure your experience at Delaware Valley Hospital and at any of the United Health Services system members is extremely positive. Every day of the year, our professional staff provides our community members with the gift of good health and proves that - when it comes to caring for our friends and neighbors - good things do indeed come in small packages.
